The 25th anniversary of Deaf President Now (DPN) movement occurred in March 2013. This civil rights movement culminated with the appointment of a deaf president for the first time in 124 years of Gallaudet's history. To recognize the significance of this milestone for the Deaf community, the university planned a semester long lecture series to understand fundamental questions about the impact of DPN on the lives of deaf people in the United States and the world. We ask about key transformative changes and what work remains. We hope you will find these stimulating as we have much to learn from our history.
