The film is created to honor of one of America’s leading 20th century writers, black poet, and novelist. Langston Hughes’ poetry has been translated in many different languages. The film tells of Langston’s biographical information as of where Langston came from, of his life, his writing in depth, and history of Harlem Renaissance. The poetry consists of “Mother to Son,” “Lady in a Cabaret,” “Helen Keller,” “I am blind,” “In Time of Silver Rain,” “Merry-Go-Round,” “As I Grew Older,” “Harlem,” “Elevator Boy,” “Wide River,” “The Negro Speaks of Rivers,” and “I, Too.”
