Dr. Kathryn Hirsh-Pasek and Dr. Roberta Golinkoff explain how psychological researchers balance the need to do basic science with their desire to be relevant to the questions and issues of their time.  Drs. Hirsh-Pasek and Golinkoff also discuss the importance of taking an active role in dissemination of your own work to help ensure its integrity as well as utility.
