Dr. Klein is a Scientist in the Cognitive Neuroscience Unit at the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Dr. Klein’s talk will focus on research utilizing a combination of behavioral and neuroimaging methods on how neural recruitment is influenced by the age of language acquisition, proficiency in the language, and the distinctive characteristics of the language being learned. The use of relatively new anatomical techniques will be discussed. These new techniques will enhance our understanding of the critical-period phenomena and plasticity in the human brain.
