This black deaf doctorates panel discussion is a unique opportunity for Gallaudet University, MSSD, and KDES students to learn about the three types of doctorates degrees and how the black deaf doctorate panelists overcame the odds to achieve the highest-level academic degree.
There are only an estimated 12 black deaf individuals in the U.S. who hold such degrees. A panel of 10 will share with the audience how they did it.
It is so important that our future leaders dream beyond their circumstances and have hope that they, too, can achieve such an accomplishment.
