Gallaudet Video Presents The Debt. This was adapted from a play of Anton Chekov. It is the first film to be made with an all deaf cast for the deaf audience. A widow, Natayla Gayef, which is a recluse within her own home with a footman servant who worries over her because she had been in mourning for over a year. Natalya has an unpleasant surprise visitor, Ivan Borisovitch, who demands that she pay off her dead husband’s debt with him. Natayla and Ivan were building up with their anger towards to each other only to fall in love.
