Deaf Video # 186 Oral Deaf History Project: Ernest Marshall. John Schuchmann interviews Ernest Marshall, a deaf pioneer in film making. Ernest was born in Poughkeepsie, New York. Ernest was born deaf, and came from third generation of deaf families. Ernest divulged that he taught himself how to film and edit the film, sharing experiences of acting and producing. Ernest hopes that deaf people in future continues to enjoy film making, so that deaf community can continue to enjoy watching them.
