DPN 1988 vol. 5 - Florida Ave 1 of 4
March 6, 1988
Mary Lou Novitsky interviews many students of Gallaudet University, and some of the faculty. Many share the reasons why they want a deaf president, their anger with the board of trustees, and that they had every right to have a deaf president. A representative walked up to Jerry Covell asking to speak to the leaders of the protest, wouldn’t say anything to answer the questions of the Gallaudet students. Scenes of gathering for the rally. Jerry Covell is cheering Gallaudet Students on, and said “The World Can’t Stop Us!”
