DPN 1988 vol. 16
Tuesday events 1 of 3
March 8, 1988
Random interview with several faculty members. One professor, Stephen Lotterman. refuses an interview due to an exam coming up soon. Scenes of a gathering at the Ely Center, few tents on the lawn at the front gates, and a staff attending at the Foster auditorium. Tim Rarus introduces several people who are attending the meeting, that is also a part of the protest. Harvey Goodstein shares with the faculty the three demands the students have. Dr. William Marshall shared what happened during the meeting, and thinks that Dr. Elisabeth Zinser does not really know what the reasons are in depth as of why the Gallaudet students were upset about her being elected as a president. Several of the faculty members come to the stage to share a few words of support with the DPN movement. Kappa Gamma does a cook out for everyone during the protest.
